PUBLIC NOTICE CONTROLLED BURNING
All Perry County residents are requested to contact the Emergency Management/911 Center prior to lighting a controlled burn on private property that is outside of an enclosed container.
Numerous incidences have occurred where Fire Companies were required to respond to an open burning that was being controlled. This places an unnecessary emergency response and monetary hardship on the fire company. It also jeopardizes the safety of the firefighters.
